DW supporting Charity

Once again we are delighted that the race is supporting charity and we hope that this race will be the most successful ever. Every year thousands of pounds are raised for a number of charities and this year we very much hope that our new official charity, National Children's Homes, will benefit hugely from every participant's endeavours.

Every year, thousands of children and young people face problems because of disability, poverty, abuse, neglect and social exclusion. NCH makes a real difference to their lives by providing a diverse network of projects throughout the UK to meet their needs.

Founded in 1869, NCH have over 130 years of child care experience, as well as the skills, knowledge and expertise of a 21st century charity. Today they run over 430 projects in the UK, supporting more than 77,000 children at risk, vulnerable young people and families in need of support.

NCH believes in the potential of all children and young people. They design their services in partnership with service users and work with them to ensure they all have the chance of a fulfilling life.
