AMENDMENTS TO RULES FOR 2002

The 2002 race will be run in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) throughout there will be no change to British Summer Time (BST)
6 (d) Should the Race or any class of it be cancelled by the DW Organisation at any time before it is due to start for any reason other than those in Rule 6 (a), then the liability of the DW Organisation shall be limited to a refund of relevant entry fees paid.
6(e) The expression the Company or the DW Organisation in these rules shall mean the Devizes to Westminster Organisation Ltd
9(i) No crew or support crew are to use flashing, strobe lights.
14(d) Completion certificates only will be issued for the Endeavour Class; no times will be given.
15 (a) 0700 2000 on Easter Saturday
15 (a) (ii) To start after 1200 hours the crew must notify the Competition Secretary on 0207 620 0298 of their intended start time before 1200 hours on Easter Saturday.
15 (a) (iii) Crews arriving at Teddington Lock before first high water on Easter Sunday will not be permitted to proceed until high water. No allowance will be given.
15 (b) Between 16 hours 11 hours before the second high tide at Teddington on Easter Sunday ( ie 0051 and 0551 GMT on Easter Sunday)
16(b)(i) Any crew arriving at Teddington 50 minutes prior to the Monday stages start (0342GMT) (or later) may be required to wait until that start (0432GMT). A time allowance will be given.
16 (b) (ii) Crews arriving at Teddington on Sunday evening and intending to proceed to Westminster on Monday morning with the Stages classes must leave their boats in the DW compound at Thames Young Mariners, Ham, camp at the site, report to Race Control their intention and go through the control gate with the stages crews on Monday morning (by 0415GMT and will start with the Junior Doubles at 0502GMT)
17(c) All Senior Doubles MUST wear a white chemical lightstick (provided by the DW Org Ltd) attached to the RHS of their buoyancy aid, lit and visible from dusk to dawn.
20(c) Stage classes must be on site at Thames Young Mariners, Ham on Easter Monday and through the control gate 45 minutes before the class start time.

21. Finishing. At Newbury, finish under footbridge by Northcroft Leisure Centre.
The advert on Page 9 is no longer applicable and arrangements have been revised.
23. Starting. Crews must report on Day One for Kit Check by 0700
